Happy Thanksgiving! I can't believe we are to this point already, this quarter is flying by, it will be Christmas before we know it! Just a few things going on this week.
First, everyone did a wonderful job today at the Wax Museum. I will record the grades in my gradebook tonight and send those home in Tuesday folders tomorrow.
Wednesday is our Family Feast. I now have many more items being brought in for the feast on Wednesday. If you haven't sent yours in yet, see the attachment on the last blog post and send that in tomorrow. I will be making copies of all the recipes for everyone. If the dish you are bringing Wednesday needs to be served hot or cold, please bring it just before noon. I don't have a way to keep it the right temperature in the classroom.
The Holiday Shop is also coming soon. We are signed up to attend on Friday, December 6 at 12:30. Please send money in with your child that day if you wish for them to purchase anything.
Also, there is a Family Fun Night/Day coming up at Bob Evans. There will be some information in Tuesday folde
Last, if your child will not be in school either tomorrow or Wednesday, please shoot me a quick note so I can adjust my plans accordingly. I don't want to do anything too new if there are going to be a lot of folks leaving early for the holiday.
Thanks! Have a great week and a Happy Thanksgiving!
I am a little worried about this year's family feast that is scheduled for next week. I have only received 4 reservations and food items. Two of those items are desserts. All Head Count Forms were supposed to be turned in today with recipes being due on Tuesday. The feast is going to be on Wednesday (11/27) from 12:00-1:00. We need a whole lot more items to make this feast successful! Please send in your forms on Monday. If you have lost your form, I have included it here so you can print it and send it in. Thanks!!!!
It's been a while since I have written a post. Hopefully there hasn't been too much confusion about things at home. First of all, thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers as my wife and I traveled to Phoenix a couple of weeks ago for my grandfather's funeral. It was great to get together with family that I haven't been able to see since my brother got married 5 years ago. We had a lot of fun, too bad it was so short!
On to school related topics. Last week we had Interact come in to talk about bullying and standing up for yourself and your friends. The kids had a good time with our guest speakers and learned a lot.
Our first field trip is this Thursday. There are still a couple of folks who have not turned in their permission forms or paid for the trip. I will be sending emails and making phone calls tonight and tomorrow as reminders. We are going to the IMAX at Marbles museum for a movie and learning lab. Please have your child wear their purple shirts Thursday and remember to pack a lunch.
We are also still collecting Washington, DC deposits and Science Is Fun in class field trip moneys as well. All field trip forms can be found under the HOME tab of the website. Please get these sent in as soon as possible.
Wax Museum is next week. All paper work is due on Friday. Wax Museum will take place Monday morning in the cafeteria. Students need to come to school dressed in character and ready to present. We will be in the cafeteria from 9:30 until about 11:00. Everyone should have a change of clothes for after the Wax Museum.
Interims are supposed to go home today, however, I am having some issues with Excel and my Mac, the two just don't want to cooperate right now. I will be taking them home tonight to try to get them done on my PC there. Hopefully I will be able to send them home tomorrow.
I think that covers it for now! Have a great week!
