First, there are a couple of middle school events this week. On Thursday, West Millbrook is holding a 5th grade orientation at 9:45am. You might want to call ahead and see if it is ok for you to bring your child due to being tracked out. They are also offering a parent orientation at 6:00. I'm not sure if children are invited to this as the calendar says "Parent Tour," so it would be a good idea to call if you want your child to attend this event.
Second, we have our Washington, DC parent meeting on Monday, April 20 at 6:15. We will plan to hold the meeting in the library, unless we fill it up. Even if you are not attending the trip as a chaperone, it would be a great idea to attend the meeting so you will know what your child will be experiencing over our 2 day trip.
Last, our Washington, DC trip is April 23 & 24. The buses will arrive at the school at about 5:30am on April 23 and we will leave at 6:00. More details will be given out at the meeting next Monday.
We officially track back in on Monday, April 20. Remember all those snow days we had? We finally get to make them up. Our first make up day is May 16th, it is a Saturday, and it will be a half day. The other day is May 30, again a Saturday, and this one will be a full day. Please plan to attend these days as we will be doing regular class work both days. With EOG's approaching so quickly after these make up days, we have to make sure we progress through the curriculum and get everything completed before testing begins.
I think that covers it for now. I will be in the classroom the rest of today and tomorrow, if you have any questions please e-mail me. Enjoy the rest of track out!
